SAAB 9-3
Saab’s junior executive model enters a new phase in 2003 and the previous model’s 5-door hatchback body style has been ditched with a more conventional 4-door saloon design. The 9-3 has typical styling cues in and out that will go well with fans of the Swedish marquee. Platform is based on Opel Vectra’s and is a vast improvement over older Saab models. A high performance is also available with a 210 turbocharged four in the form of the Aero.
SAAB 9-3 CONVERTIBLE
Saab’s topless model is the latest iteration of the 9-3 Convertible first appeared in 2003. The topless model oozes character with its distinctive and Scandinavian looks and powerful turbocharged engine. The 2-litre four-pot delivers 150bhp. The biggest draw has got to be its electrically operated soft top.
SAAB 9-5
The 9-5 executive car class, first appeared in 1998, was put through a minor facelift in 2002. Base 9-5 model comes with a 2-litre turbocharged four producing 185bhp, whereas a 250bhp 2.3-litre engine powers the sporty Aero. The 9-5 has a huge and spacious cabin. There are lots of Saab’s characters inside, the ‘Night Panel’ function and the aircraft-inspired instruments and dashboard layout are just some of them. A 5-door estate version of the 9-5 is also available.
