The S-class facelift in 2003 has given itself a more contemporary look with its more standard equipment and new materials and fittings for its interior. It is the choice for local towkays and it isn’t hard to see why – elegant styling, spacious and luxurious interior and comfort ride quality are just some of its strengths.
MERCEDES-BENZ CL-CLASS
The giant CL features handsome and precision styling by the German and is Mercedes’ iteration of a large grand touring coupe. The CL500 is powered by Mercedes’ familiar 306bhp V8. Top AMG versions include the CL65. Other unique CL-class features its ABC(Active Body Control) suspension and its ability to seat four comfortably on long distances.
MERCEDES-BENZ SLK-CLASS
The SLK at the recent 2004 Geneva motorshow revealed the second generation for a more aggressive and purposeful stance. Similar to the old model ,the new SLK features a classy metal folding roof. The mid-range SLK350 comes with a new 24-valve V6 engine that produces 282bhp. The new four-valve per cylinder engine replaces Mercedes’ ageing three-valve per cylinder V6 range. The SLK class also comes optional with Stuttgart marque’s innovative 7G Tronic seven-speed automatic gearbox.
MERCEDES-BENZ SL-CLASS
The SL is a well-engineered and beautifully-executed roadster that continues the legendary model’s lineage and prestige. The car offers a practical metal folding roof in its current model. The mid-range model is the 306bhp V8 SL500 while V12 fanatics can go straight to the SL600. The top has to be the SL55 AMG with a breath-taking engine of 476bhp supercharged V8 grunt in a sexy topless body.
